Objectives
This proposal aims to develop a strategy for the archiving and dissemination of landscape archaeology data sets (LiDAR, aerial imagery and geophysics) using ICT. Specific aims include:
- Review the current spatial data policies within the commercial, institutional and academic sectors
- Review current best practices for the long term archiving and access to archaeological landscape data
- Create a strategy for the creation of a WebGIS which provides access to digital landscape data
- Develop and implement a WebGIS pilot for the delivery of selected landscape data to the research community
- Promote and disseminate the results of the project
- Produce an exploitation plan for the long term development of the SHARE I.T. resource.
