Kieron Goucher
I received a Diploma in Geodetic Surveying from the Dublin Institute of Technology in 1993. Upon completing my diploma I worked for 2 years as a surveyor and GIS analyst for the Discovery Programme’s Tara Research Project and then spent a year as a free-lance surveyor working on a number of projects throughout Ireland.
I joined Margaret Gowen & Co. in 1996 as a geodetic surveyor and since that time I have been involved with a number of large-scale topographic and building surveys, including the Armagh Cathedral, Co. Armagh; Blessington Demesne, Co. Wicklow; the River Nore Flood Alleviation Scheme, Co. Kilkenny; N2 Finglas – Ashbourne Road Realignment. I Have provided technological and survey support for most of the projects undertaken by the company.
Since developing my role as both Survey and IT Manager, I oversee all geodetic survey projects with a responsible for 2 staff. I am also responsible for the development and management of the company’s IT capabilities.
